Introducing: The Del Ray Kinderchoir
Children's community choir for grades 1-4 is now formally launching after its founding in January. Registration is open for fall 2015.
Got a little one at home who loves to sing? The Del Ray Kinderchoir, founded in January by Del Ray residents Kay Sidahmed and Paula Thomas, is registering children for fall 2015.
The founders say the choir is now formally launching and registration is currently open for children in grades 1-4. The choir will meet in Lunceford Hall at the Del Ray United Methodist Church, 100 E. Windsor Ave.
Sidahmed and Thomas say they started the choir because of their fond memories of their first childhood choir experiences, which led to a lifelong love of singing.

The choir provides an opportunity for children in grades 1- 4 to experience the joy of group singing in a non-competitive environment, while striving for musical excellence. Children will sing American and international folk music as well as from classical repertoire.
Rehearsals will include vocal exercises, sight singing, general musicianship, choral language and discipline, singing and dancing games.
