King Street Metro Bus Loop To Open, More DASH Improvements Coming
While the King Street Trolley remains suspended, DASH Bus will increase service on some routes.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — DASH Bus will return to the reopened King Street Metro bus loop and increase service on some routes on Sunday, June 6.
The bus loop has been closed while the parking lot was under construction for the King Street-Old Town Metro Access Improvement Project over several years. Bus bays had been relocated to other locations near the station during construction. On June 6, DASH and Metrobus will move to the new bays in the Metro station's bus loop off Diagonal Road. Bus bays and the station entrance kiosk will feature new digital screens with real-time bus arrival information. New crosswalks and redesigned station lighting have also been added to boost pedestrian visibility.
MetroAccess is continuing to operate from the temporary Cameron Street bus stop. After three remaining bus bays are installed, DASH, Metrobus, and MetroAccess service will be assigned permanent bus bay locations.

Riders are encouraged to identify their new bus bay location before June 6. GoAlex staff will abe on site to help riders locate new bus bay assignments and to answer questions.
