Museum Day 2019: Free Admission To These 99 Virginia, DC Museums
Here's how to snag a free ticket to visit one of these 99 DC and Virginia museums on Saturday, Sept. 21.

WASHINGTON, DC — If you're looking for a fun and free activity for the weekend, consider a trip to one of these museums in Washington, D.C., or Virginia. Saturday, Sept. 21, is "Museum Day" and admission to more than 1,500 museums and cultural institutions in the country, including 22 in the District along with another 77 in Virginia, is free.
"Museum Day" is an annual event put together by the Smithsonian Magazine and includes participating museums in all 50 states. According to the Smithsonian, participants can download one ticket per email address that provides free general admission for two people.
To get a ticket, just choose your museum from the list below.
