Police Reports: Motor Scooter Thefts in the Del Ray Area
The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Del Ray-Rosemont-Arlandria area of Alexandria.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.
Sept. 28
3:17 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 200 block of E. Oak Street.

8:51 a.m. — A suspect was arrested for theft in the 3400 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

6:46 p.m. — A suspect was arrested for public drunkenness near the corner of W. Windsor and Commonwealth avenues.
3 p.m. — An embezzlement offense was reported in the 3500 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.
1:15 a.m. — An assault was reported in the 500 block of Four Mile Road.
Sept. 25
2:56 p.m. — An employee theft was reported in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.
8:19 a.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen from the 3200 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
4:44 a.m. — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 2900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.
12:25 a.m. — A suspect was arrest for suspicion of illegal possession of alcohol in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.
Sept. 24
9:03 a.m. — A vehicle was reported stolen in the 3900 block of Old Dominion Boulevard.
2:46 a.m. — A traffic strop near the corner of S. Glebe and W. Glebe roads resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence and a narcotics offense.
Sept. 23
7:21 a.m. — A motor scooter parked in the driveway of a residence in the 2700 block of Russell Road was reported stolen.
11:02 a.m. — A motor scooter parked in the front of a residence in the 2700 block of Sycamore Street was reported stolen.
Sept. 21
8:17 a.m. — Coins and valium pills were reported stolen from vehicles parked on E. Walnut Street.
Sept. 20
5:29 p.m. — A suspect was arrested for a liquor law violation in the 2100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.
9:59 a.m. — A purse was reported stolen from a car parked in the 400 block of E. Monroe Avenue. The passenger side window on the vehicle was broken.
9:19 a.m. — A woman reported that a neighbor cut her blackberry bush in the 200 block of E. Custis Avenue without her permission.Â
