T.C. Williams Graduate Makes History With Grammy Win
Tracy Young, who has made numerous remixes for Madonna, is the first female winner in the remixed recording non-classical category.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Tracy Young, a T.C. Williams alumna, became the first woman to win in the best remixed recording non-classical category at the 62nd annual Grammys Sunday. She won for her pride remix of Madonna's "I Rise."
Not only was it Young's first Grammy nomination ever, but she was the first female producer nominated in the remixed recording non-classical category.
Young, 49, responded to the win in an Instagram post, mentioning her faith, Madonna, fans and supporters in the LGBTQ community. "We have shattered the glass ceiling together, in a male dominated industry," she wrote. "I proudly accept this award on behalf of all the female producers who have been overlooked for so long."
