T.C. Williams Shows Support For Florida Gun Violence Victims

On Tuesday, T.C. Williams students and staff honor the victims of the Florida shooting and call for stricter gun laws.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Students at T.C. Williams High School are demanding for more gun control measures during a display of solidarity with the Florida shooting victims Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The school encouraged students to wear black, maroon and gold as a show of support for the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting victims and survivors. At school, students could pick up and wear orange ribbons to protest gun violence.

Two students, Jay Falk and Hannah Miller, have been leading a local effort to honor the victims and demand gun control. The Zebra reports Miller and Faulk organized a banner for students to sign and send to Stoneman Douglas throughout the last week. During lunch hours, students are writing letters to Stoneman Douglas students. They worked with other students in other local schools to promote their #WeAreAllEagles campaign in solidarity with Stoneman Douglas.
