Taste Of Del Ray Returns With To-Go Format In 2021

ALEXANDRIA, VA — After a cancellation in 2020, Taste of Del Ray is back with a new format in 2021.

Unlike the past one-day event with participating restaurants in one location, the 2021 Taste of Del Ray will be held Friday, June 4 to Sunday, June 6 in a to-go format. Each restaurant can offer up to three tastes for the competition, and some may offer cocktails.

Customers can register for the event for $5 and purchase a taste directly from restaurants for $5 each. Cocktail prices will vary. Items will be available for takeout or dine-in depending on each restaurant's policies.

Like in past years, there will be Judge's Choice and People's Choice awards. Anyone registered for Taste of Del Ray can cast a vote for the People's Choice Award. Online voting will close at 8:30 p.m. on June 6. Award winners will be announced on June 7.
