Ugly Sweater Party, Holiday Sing-Along Mark Weekend In Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA—The holiday festivities continue with a full weekend of events in Del Ray. Whether you want to enjoy a holiday drink, work out or shop, there's an event for you.

Among the highlights are an Ugly Sweater Party at Evening Star Cafe, the last weekend of the Del Ray Artisans Holiday Market and Well Ray's Twelve Days of Wellness.

In addition, local non-profits have decorated and lined up 12 trees along Mount Vernon Avenue. Visitors are invited to take a look at the trees and vote for their favorite through 5 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Alexandria Citizens Band Annual Holiday Sing-Along

Friday, Dec. 14, 7:30 p.m.

Del Ray United Methodist Church, 100 E. Windsor Ave.

Join the Alexandria Citizens Band for the free Alexandria Holiday Sing-Along. They'll play musical favorites, including a narrated version of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and a Hanukkah Medley. Warm up your voices so you can sing along as we entertain you under the baton of Mike Evans. Wear your holiday sweaters and Santa hats. Bring your family and friends. There will be Christmas treats at the event.

Great Del Ray Poetry Reading

Friday Dec. 14, 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

St. Elmo's Coffee Pub, 2300 Mount Vernon Ave.

Get together and celebrate holiday season at Del Ray's Great Poetry Reading Open Mic Night at St. Elmo's Coffee Pub. All poets are invited to share their original works or one of their favorite poems. All are welcome. The hosts are Del Ray Players director Neal Learner and Alexandria Poet Laureate Wendi Kaplan.

Del Ray Artisans 23rd Annual Fine Art & Fine Craft Holiday Market

Del Ray Artisans' market offers handcrafted arts and crafts from local artists. Items include botanical drawings, fiber/textiles, glass, jewelry, mixed media, mosaics, painting, paper crafting, photography, pottery/ceramics, sculpture, watercolor, wood turning and more. Each weekend features different artists.

Hours are Fridays 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Holiday Tasting at Planet Wine
