2941 Restaurant Hosts Benefit Dinner With Our Daily Bread

Dinner will raise money for the charity that helps low income residents in Fairfax County.

The cozy confines of 2941 Restaurant will play host to a benefit wine dinner Wednesday night with local charity Our Daily Bread to raise money for the organization.

For the last 29 years, the charity has focused on easing the plight of low-income residents throughout Fairfax County. Tickets for the three-course meal go for $115 each (click here for the menu) and there’s room for 60 guests. The meal begins at 6:30 p.m.

“It takes an income of about $60,000 for a family of four to thrive in the Fairfax County area. Most of the clients we help only make about $20,000 per year,” Our Daily Bread Executive Director Lisa Whetzel said in a written statement.

“Here in one of the wealthiest areas in the nation, it is shocking that tens of thousands of people struggle with hunger and hardship on a daily basis. We are extremely concerned about what will happen to those who we must turn down for financial assistance or who languish on our food waiting list for months. We are trying to help as many families as possible stay in their homes and regain their financial footing, but we know we are only assisting a small fraction of those who could benefit from our services.”

Tickets can be purchased by calling the restaurant at 703-270-1500 or email privatedining@2941.com
