Capital Bikeshare Stations To Open In Falls Church

The Little City is joining the Capital Bikeshare network with ten stations.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—The City of Falls Church will mark the opening of its first Capital Bikeshare stations on Monday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. Falls Church City Council will hold a ribbon cutting at the bikeshare station at Park Place and North Washington Street (next to the State Theatre).

The City of Falls Church will have ten stations:

  • George Mason High School, Haycock Road and Leesburg Pike
  • North Oak Street and West Broad Street
  • Pennsylvania Avenue and West Broad Street
  • City Hall, Park Avenue and Little Falls Street
  • West Broad Street and Little Falls Street
  • South Maple Avenue and South Washington Street
  • East Fairfax Street and South Washington Street
  • Park Place and North Washington Street
  • West Columbia Street and North Washington Street
  • North Roosevelt Street

The locations were determined based on the city's bicycle master plan. Stations are also located at the East and West Falls Church Metro.

The city joins Fairfax County, Arlington County, the City of Alexandria, Washington, DC and Montgomery County, Md. in the Capital Bikeshare network. The new Falls Church stations bring the total to over 550 stations across the region.

Users can unlock bikes from the dock to use by paying through the Capital Bikeshare app or at a station kiosk. Trips are $2 for up to 30 minutes, $2 for an additional 30 to 59 minutes, $4 for an additional 60 to 89 minutes and an additional $8 for anything higher.
