Coronavirus Testing Events Planned In 2 Fairfax County Areas

The one-day testing events are being held in neighborhoods hit hard by the coronavirus and do not require a doctor referral.

ANNANDALE, VA — Free community testing events will be held in two Fairfax County areas hit hard by the new coronavirus pandemic. The drive-thru and walk-in testing will not require a doctor referral, appointment, or insurance.

The events will be held Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Annandale High School and Sunday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bailey's Elementary School. Testing is only available for individuals age 2 and up.

The testing events are supported by the Virginia Department of Health and Fairfax County Health Department with Mako Medical Laboratories. Public health officials say the free testing aims to limit community spread in the Annandale and Bailey's Crossroads communities, where people may be uninsured and underinsured. Spanish speakers will be available at the sites.
