Falls Church Farmers Market Visitors Asked To Wear Masks

The farmers market continues with social distancing rules. Four vendors are offering delivery only, and 17 other vendors are taking orders.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The Falls Church Farmers Market continues to operate on Saturdays with pre-orders only during the coronavirus crisis. This upcoming Saturday, April 11, 17 vendors are taking pre-orders, and four other vendors are offering delivery only. Normal farmers market hours will return this week — customers can pick up their orders from vendors between 8 a.m. and noon.

The farmers market is operating with social distancing rules, and visitors are asked to wear masks or face coverings. City staff and vendors will wear face coverings. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend individuals wear cloth face coverings in public where physical distancing is hard to maintain such as grocery stores.

The farmers market is open to 10 customers at a time in alignment with the governor's order on gatherings. Customers must purchase items in advance by phone or online, and browsing is not allowed. One person per family should pick up orders; children and pets should not be brought. Customers are asked to maintain six feet of distance from others and to bring hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. Hand sanitizer will be available at the market.
