Falls Church to Hold Lottery for Affordable Housing Unit

Deadline to apply is Aug. 19.

The City of Falls Church Housing and Human Services will hold a lottery for an Affordable Dwelling Unit (ADU) on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Dogwood Room (City Hall, 300 Park Ave.). The rental is a two-bedroom unit at Pearson Square (410 S. Maple Ave.) with a rate of $1,288 per month plus utilities.

A two-bedroom apartment at that location is advertised on Trulia for $2,588 to $2,735.

Applications are due by noon on Monday, August 18 at the Housing and Human Services office (City Hall, Suite G-04, 300 Park Ave.).

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Must be U.S. citizen or have permanent legal residencyTotal household liquid assets cannot exceed $40,000Must have minimum credit score of 620Total household income must be between 5-=80 percent of the Area Median Income:
