Falls Church Lighting Of The Trees Set For December

A visit from Santa and free hot chocolate will be part of the festivities.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The City of Falls Church will kick off the holiday season with the annual Lighting of the Trees on Monday, Dec. 2. It will be held at 6 p.m. at Mr. Brown's Park in the 100 block of West Broad Street.

The informal ceremony is centered around the lighting of the downtown street lights. Other festivities will include Santa escorted by the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department, music by the George Mason High School Chamber Singers and sip free hot chocolate from Lemon Lane Consignment. After the ceremony, City Council will hold a work session at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall.

Designated public parking spaces are available at City Hall (300 Park Ave), in the lot behind 116 West Broad Street and in the lot behind 130 North Washington Street. The George Mason Square Parking Garage (103 West Broad Street) is open on evenings.
