Falls Church Real Estate Market Hotter than Arlington, Alexandria, D.C.
Median sales prices in Falls Church are increasing.

In addition to being the fastest growing community in Northern Virginia, Falls Church is a hotspot for real estate.
In May, Falls Church led the DC metro area in home sales with a median sales price of $623,000, beating Arlington, Alexandria and D.C., according to data from RealEstate Business Intelligence, Washington Business Journal reported.
The 22046 ZIP code has just 41 homes on the market now—a dozen of those are listed for $1 million or more.

Right now, there are more than 150 homes with Falls Church addresses, which include areas outside the city in Fairfax County. Of those, two dozen are listed for $1 million or more, and 61 homes are listed for $623,000 or more, according to official real estate listings.

Overall in the D.C. metro area, the median sales price of residential properties in May increased to almost $425,000—that’s an increase of 8.2 percent from a year ago. The number of sales that actually closed also increased 13.6 percent from this time last year, according to RealEstate Business Intelligence.
