Garden Center Puts Up 20-Foot Stanley Cup 'Scarecrow' (Photo)
A Seven Corners business is celebrating the Capitals' Stanley Cup and the fall season all in one giant scarecrow masterpiece.

SEVEN CORNERS, VA—For all of the Washington Capitals fans, you might not need a reminder the team won its first Stanley Cup this year. But there's no harm in continuing to celebrate as the hockey season gets close.
Meadow Farms in Seven Corners is doing just that. The garden center put up a 20-foot tall Stanley Cup "scarecrow" this week. One of the owners told the Russian Machine Never Breaks blog that work started on the scarecrow in July.
On Thursday, the owner tweeted out the announcement that the Stanley Cup was up.

So if you're in the Seven Corners area, stop by and see the giant Stanley Cup in all of its glory at 6461 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church. The Capitals will raise their Stanley Cup banner during their home opener Wednesday, Oct. 3 versus the Boston Bruins.
