George Mason High Mustangs Poised for Semifinals
Regular schedule keeps Mustangs loose for game against Floyd County High.

The gym wasn’t theirs but the George Mason High Mustangs kept their daily schedule about the same.
An afternoon practice at a high school in Richmond before a meal and settling in for the night at the team hotel, Head Coach LaBryan Thomas said his team is loose and ready for Floyd County High in the Virginia High School League Basketball Tournament semifinals. The two teams tipoff Friday morning at 10:30 at the Siegel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
“I think we should be alright,” Thomas said.

Thomas stressed his team has to push the ball to beat Floyd County’s pressure. He said if his team can do that in front of three busloads of fans from Falls Church, they can win the game.
“We have to break their pressure,” Thomas said. “If we can do that, we can win.”
