George Mason High School Musicians Achieve District X Band
These Falls Church City Public Schools musicians from GMHS represented Falls Church City Public Schools.
FALLS CHURCH, VA -- These Falls Church City Public Schools musicians from GMHS represented Falls Church City Public Schools excellence in arts education by successfully auditioning into the competitive District X Band. Three honors ensembles rehearsed Thursday night, all day Friday and Saturday morning before giving outstanding performances at Hayfield Secondary School on Saturday.
The accomplished students are, left to right, Timothy Gilmour (euphonium), Acacia Wyckoff (clarinet), AJ Romps (tuba), Lucy Hoak(French horn), Christian Autor (trumpet) and George Hoak (euphonium).
Due to their outstanding placement within these ensembles, Gilmour, Lucy Hoak and Peter Haensel are eligible to audition for State Band on Feb. 25 at James Madison University.
