Heat Wave: Lazy Sundae Keeping Falls Church Cool
Temperatures expected to hit 91 degrees Friday, a third consecutive day above 90 degrees for Falls Church.
With the heat index making temperatures feel like they're racing past 90 degrees for a second consecutive day in Falls Church and an air quality alert in effect, people were sent searching for ways to stay cool.
At Lazy Sundae and Mike’s Deli in “The Little City,” they were serving up homemade ice cream and having fun doing it. People came in for scoops of the ice cream on cones, in cups and the occasional milk shake went to people trying to beat the heat.
According to the National Weather Service, it’s expected to hit 91 degrees Friday, the third consecutive day of excessive temperatures during this heat wave.
