Lane Closures Planned On Major Falls Church Road

The City of Falls Church has announced Washington Street lane closures on Saturday.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Drivers using one of Falls Church's major roads should seek an alternate route on Saturday, Dec. 7. A portion of North Washington Street will be closed between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m., the city announced.

Southbound lanes will be closed between Great Falls Street and Broad Street while one northbound lane will remain open. Southbound traffic will follow a detour to Great Falls Street, Maple Avenue and Broad Street. There is no detour for northbound traffic.

The sidewalk on the southbound side of North Washington Street will also be closed. Traffic flaggers and police will be on scene.

The lane closures are due to large crane placing a new HVAC unit on the Kaiser Permanente roof.
