The George Mason High School Lady Mustangs got their seventh consecutive win and on senior night at home Monday with a 54-25 win over Manassas Park High.

Senior Stephanie Cheney led the Lady Mustangs with 28-points. The University of Pennsylvania basketball signee also inched closer to the 2,000-point mark and she’s now less than 100 points away from reaching the milestone.

Katie Goodwin and Emily Garrett added six points each for Mason.

Head Coach LaBryan Thomas said losing five seniors, including Cheney, might present a challenge next season.

“Next year is going to be tough,” Thomas said.

The Lady Mustangs earned their 17th win on the season heading into Thursday’s first round of the Bull Run District Tournament at home against Rappahannock High School.
