Mason Musicians make plans to play in Nashville/Music City

Students take to streets for annual Tag Day Saturday, September 29

Help the George Mason Redshirts get to Nashville/Music City! This Saturday, September 29th from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., members of the George Mason High School bands and chorus will bring music to Falls Church City neighborhoods as they travel door-to-door collecting donations for the annual TAG DAY fundraiser. Small groups will also be busking that morning at the Falls Church City Farmers’ Market. The musicians, who will be wearing their signature red George Mason Music shirts, can accept donations of any amount and in all forms. Contributions from our community will help all members participate in performance clinics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN as well as a songwriting workshop.

Invited to participate in the prestigious Festival of Gold, many of these festival award-winning Mason musicians have performed previously in New York at Carnegie Hall and in Chicago. Supporters may learn more or give online through the Falls Church City Bandboosters website http://www.bandboostersfcc.org....
