Metro Signs Contract To Replace 130 Escalators At 32 Stations
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority has signed a contract with KONE to replace 130 escalators at 32 Metro stations, according to a release. The seven-year, $179 million contract will see the continuation of a decades-long program aimed at replacing and restoring the oldest and least reliable escalators in the transit system.

Northern Virginia residents rank near the top of the list of Americans most likely to get the COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available to them, with Arlington County rated as the county with the highest vaccine acceptance in the nation, according to the results of a Facebook survey.
