NoVa Churchgoers Warned To Self-Quarantine Over Coronavirus
A 40-year-old man connected with a church in Bailey's Crossroads tested positive for the new coronavirus.
BAILEYS CROSSROADS, VA — The Fairfax County Health Department is asking individuals who attended a church service in Bailey's Crossroads to self-quarantine for 14 days after a 40-year-old man tested positive for the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
The man, who is connected with Crossroads Baptist Church in Bailey's Crossroads, became ill with respiratory symptoms on Thursday, March 12 when he was traveling out of state. Currently hospitalized, the man was tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday, March 18 and the specimens were sent to a private laboratory.
The Health Department is conducting a contact investigation and notifying everyone who attended the church's morning service on Sunday, March 15 to self-quarantine at home for 14 days. It's recommended that individuals self-quarantining not go to work or school, and not use public transportation or ride-sharing. They should also avoid public gatherings and limit contact with family members.

Virginia health officials said Friday the state has 114 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. Every region in the state now has a positive coronavirus cases after southwest Virginia reported its first case Friday.
As of Friday, 20 people are in Virginia hospitals receiving treatment for the coronavirus and two people have died, according to the Virginia Department of Health. James City County has the most confirmed cases of the coronavirus at 19, followed by Arlington County with 17 cases, Fairfax County with 16 cases and Prince William County with 12 cases.

Half of the state's 114 positive coronavirus cases are in Northern Virginia. Nationwide, there are 13,000 cases of the coronavirus and 196 people have died from the disease.
