POLICE LOG: Child Neglect Charges for Falls Church Woman

City of Falls Church Police charged a woman with child neglect for driving under the influence with two children in her vehicle.

The 37-year-old woman was stopped by police in the 700 block of E. Broad St. on Feb. 17 for a routine traffic stop. Police determined the woman was under the influence and charged her with two counts of child neglect, refusal to submit to a blood or breath test and driving under the influence.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

Public Drunkenness, 6795 Wilson Blvd #20 (Pho Bien) On Feb. 12, the alleged suspect, 41, of Springfield, was charged with public drunkenness.

Trespassing, 6795 Wilson Blvd. On Feb. 13, a 55-year-old, of no fixed address, was charged with trespassing.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6779 Wilson Blvd. (Café Vy) On Feb. 14, a 30-year-old, of Falls Church, was charged and released on summons for smoking in a non-designated area.  A 35-year-old, of Falls Church, was charged and released on summons for permitting smoking in a non-designated area.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Café Gio) On Feb. 14, a 47-year-old, from Burke, was charged and released on summons for smoking in a non-designated area. 

Public Drunkenness and Smoking In A Non-Designated Area, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Feb. 15, a 42-year-old, of Falls Church, was charged with public drunkenness and smoking in a non-designated area.

Destruction of Property, 315 S. Maple Ave. (TL Seafood) On Feb. 15, the business reported a glass window was smashed.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6795 Wilson Blvd #16 (Café Le Mirage) On Feb. 16, a 30-year-old, of Washington, D.C., was charged and released on summons for smoking in a non-designated area. A 28-year-old, of Annandale; a 29-year-old, of Woodbridge; and a 37-year-old, of Springfield, were charged and released on summons for permitting smoking in a non-designated area.

Driving Under the Influence, 300 block E. Broad St. On Feb. 17, a 22-year-old, of the City of Falls Church, was charged with driving under the influence.

Narcotics Violation, 200 block E. Broad St.  On Feb. 17 a 22-year-old, of Leesburg, was charged and released on summons for possession of marijuana.

Noise Violation, 400 block W. Broad St. On Feb. 18, the driver of a trash removal vehicle, a 39-year-old, of Woodbridge, was charged and released on summons for a noise violation.
