Second Round Of Falls Church Small Business Grants Open
Non-profits with less than 50 employees can also apply for the Falls Church Economic Development Authority's emergency grants.
FALLS CHURCH, VA — Falls Church non-profits are now eligible to apply for the second round of emergency grants addressing the economic impacts of the coronavirus crisis. Small businesses and nonprofits can apply by 11:30 p.m. on June 15.
The grants, funded by the Falls Church Economic Development Authority, provide $2,000 to pay for salary, benefits, rent and other business operating expenses. In the first round, 84 small businesses received grants. The second round opens the program up to nonprofits and allows small businesses to have gross receipts between $50,000 and $700,000. The 84 businesses that already received grants cannot apply for the second round.
When applying, businesses or nonprofits are asked to explain the need for a grant, what the grant will be used for, plans to reopen, and areas where additional assistance from the city or other agencies is needed.
