On Tuesday April 30 the Sol Roots band with special guests Stacy Brooks and Linwood Taylor perform a concert of funk, soul, rock, and blues.
On Tuesday April 30, the Sol Roots band with special guest Stacy Brooks (award winning "DC's Queen of the Blues" and WPFW co-host) and internationally known guitarist Linwood Taylor (who has worked with Albert Collins, Devon Allman, Tommy Castro and more) all join forces for a special concert of funk, soul, rock, and blues at the Legendary JV's in Northern Virginia.
Internationally known as "DC's Queen of the Blues", Stacy Brooks is a powerful vocalist and exciting performer that has shared the stage with blues legends such as Kenny Neal, Billy Branch, Bobby Parker, and Sugar Blue just to name a few. A multi-award winner, Stacy Brooks performs regularly around the east coast, in Chicago, and overseas.

"Linwood Taylor has one of the most highly respected names in the blues community with touring credits throughout the U.S. and European Blues circuits. Linwood’s style is in the vein of Muddy Waters, Albert King and Hendrix, while his resume includes appearances with Albert Collins, Joe Lewis Walker, Skip Castro, Devon Allman and also appearing with TOMMY CASTRO and Joe Louis Walker at the Rhythm & Blues Review in Washington, DC.”

The Sol Roots band performs a mix of New Orleans funk, raw blues, energetic rock, deep grooves, and southern soul. Sol is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has toured with many roots, funk, and blues legends around the world as a part of Music Maker Revue.
The group features master bassist Andreas Holmstrom and super solid drummer Vic Chase.
Sol Roots is an official Home Grown Music Network artist and a "Next Generation" Music Maker Relief Foundation artist.
