Sunset Cinema Schedule For 2019 Announced In Falls Church
The upcoming fall season means outdoor movies return to Cherry Hill Park.
FALLS CHURCH, VA — While many outdoor movie series in the DC region happen over the summer, Falls Church holds its own in the autumn. The 16th annual Sunset Cinema in the Park will run Fridays from Sept. 20 to Oct. 4.
Movies are screened at Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Avenue. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and picnics, while drinks, popcorn and other snacks will be available for purchase. A food truck may be part of the festivities.

- Friday, Sept. 20, 7:45 pm: Lilo and Stitch (PG): A Hawaiian girl adopts an unusual pet who is actually a notorious extra-terrestrial fugitive.
- Friday, Sept. 27, 7:45 pm: Hocus Pocus (PG): A curious youngster moves to Salem, where hestruggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches thatwere executed in the 17th century.
- Friday, Oct. 4, 7:45 pm: Back to the Future (PG, Viewers' Choice) The public voted on their choice for this movie. Follow Marty McFly as he's taken back to the 1950s as an experiment by his eccentric scientist friend, Doc Brown, goes awry.
Sunset Cinema in the Park is sponsored by WINN Design + Build. In the case of inclement weather, movies are relocated to the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls Street, when available.
