UPDATE: One Victim in Falls Church Fire Identified

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue identified one of the two victims in Wednesday’s fire in Falls Church as Laura Jeanne Snyder-Gardner, 48, of 3103 Manor Dr. A spokeswoman at Gallaudet University confirmed Gardner was a staff member at the school.

The identity of the second victim, a female, is still being determined. Firefighters were called to the home in the 3100 block of Manor Rd. around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday. The entire single-level ranch-style home was completely engulfed when crews arrived. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
