Virginia Soccer: Mason High Boys, Girls Split With Clarke County for Bull Run Titles

Mustangs' boys' soccer team continues unbeaten Bull Run District record, take tournament title.

The George Mason High boys and girls soccer teams had a chance to sweep Clarke County High at home Thursday night but only one of the Mustang teams proved victorious.

The boy’s soccer team (16-2-1) capped off their undefeated Bull Run District schedule with a 2-1 victory over Clarke County (12-5-1) to win the district title.

The Mustangs will host Wilson Memorial High Monday at 5 p.m. in the Region B Quarterfinal.

The Lady Mustangs (15-3) came up short against Clarke County (17-2) 1-0. Mason handed Clarke County’s girl’s soccer team their only two losses this season.

The Lady Mustangs will also host Wilson Memorial High Monday at 7 p.m. in their Region B Quarterfinal game.
