Voting In Falls Church: Everything You Need To Know
The ballot for Falls Church includes races for president, U.S. House and Senate, as well as a City Council special election.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Election Day is here, and Vienna area voters head to the polls Tuesday to decide races for president, U.S. House and Senate, and a special election for a Falls Church City Council seat.
The ballot in the City of Falls Church will include the 8th congressional district race, a race for one U.S. Senate seat, two state constitutional amendments and City Council race. The special election for the City Council seat is being held after the death of Councilmember Dan Sze in July.
Returning Absentee Ballots
Election Day is a deadline for voters who are casting an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots requested by mail must be delivered in person by 7 p.m. on Nov. 3 or be postmarked by Tuesday, Nov. 3. For absentee ballots returned by mail, they must be received by the elections office by noon on Friday, Nov. 6. There is a 24/7 secure drop box for absentee ballots outside City Hall (300 Park Avenue).

Voting on Election Day
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 3. For those voting in person on Nov. 3, you can check your polling place at vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation.

- Ward 1: Thomas Jefferson School, 601 South Oak Street
- Ward 2: Falls Green Apartments (formerly Oakwood Apartments), 501 Roosevelt Boulevard
- Ward 3: Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls Street
An acceptable form of identification is required to vote in person, but it no longer has to be a photo ID. Examples of accepted IDs include a Virginia driver's license or DMV-issued photo ID, U.S. passport, and copy of a utility bill, paycheck or other government document showing the voter's address.
Where to Find Results
Tallies of votes will start to appear on the Virginia Department of Elections results page after polls close at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Constitutional Amendment #1
Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to establish a redistricting commission, consisting of eight members of the General Assembly and eight citizens of the Commonwealth, that is responsible for drawing the congressional and state legislative districts that will be subsequently voted on, but not changed by, the General Assembly and enacted without the Governor's involvement and to give the responsibility of drawing districts to the Supreme Court of Virginia if the redistricting commission fails to draw districts or the General Assembly fails to enact districts by certain deadlines?

Should an automobile or pickup truck that is owned and used primarily by or for a veteran of the United States armed forces or the Virginia National Guard who has a one hundred percent service connected, permanent, and total disability be free from state and local taxation?
