Leesburg Pike Reopens After Water Main Break In Falls Church Area
Water main break repairs impacted traffic between Falls Church and Tysons Friday and part of Saturday.
UPDATE: The road reopened Saturday evening.
FALLS CHURCH, VA—A water main break closed Leesburg Pike Friday into Saturday in an area between the City of Falls Church and Tysons.
The water main break was reported early Friday morning on Leesburg Pike at Pimmit Drive. Leesburg Pike (Route 7) is closed in both directions, but traffic is getting through on service roads. Fairfax Water is on the scene making emergency repairs.

Fairfax County Police reported at 9:23 a.m. Saturday that the road closure continues. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
AVOID: Water main break on Leesburg Pike at Patterson rd a mile from 66 in Falls Church. Crews are just starting to dig to try to locate the break. Gushing water has severely damage roadway.
