Weather To Expect For Trick-Or-Treat In Falls Church

There's nothing that could spoil trick-or-treat night with the kids than some rain. It looks like that won't be the case this year in Falls Church.

The National Weather Service calls for a sunny day and partly cloudy night on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The day will bring a comfortable high just below 70 and nighttime lows in the 50s.

The promising Halloween forecast comes after a colder Monday with wind gusts near 30 mph. Temperatures will warm Tuesday into Wednesday.

Luckily rain isn't in the forecast until Halloween festivities have concluded. The National Weather Service says there's a 70 percent chance of rain Thursday night.

Here's the full forecast for Falls Church in the next few days:

• Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 60. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
• Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph.
• Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 60. West wind 5 to 9 mph.
• Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. South wind 5 to 7 mph.
• Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 68. South wind 6 to 10 mph.
• Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57.
• Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72.
• Thursday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
• Friday: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
• Friday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
