FALLS CHURCH, VA — Presidents Day will be Monday, Feb. 17, and a variety of services will be closed in Falls Church on the day.
The holiday, which was originally established in 1885 to honor President George Washington, will provide a much-appreciated three-day weekend for many. But it also means that services such as the U.S. Post Office, libraries and public schools will not open on the day.
If you're looking for things to do on the holiday, check out the George Washington Birthday Parade in Alexandria and free admission to George Washington's Mount Vernon on Presidents Day (Feb. 17) and Washington's true birthday (Feb. 22).
