HERNDON, VA: Adam Levine, 21, of Reston, a senior at the University of Miami, died Saturday, March 19. Levine was a 2013 graduate of Herndon High School.
Dr. Patricia A. Whitely, Vice President for Student Affairs, University of Miami, sent out a letter to the University of Miami community about Levine's death that included the following:

"It is with deepest sadness and regret that I inform you of the loss of one of our students. Adam C. Levine, a senior majoring in Political Science in the College of Arts & Sciences, passed away last night at Jackson Memorial Hospital. ...Truly beloved by all, Adam’s outgoing, caring personality and sense of humor was known to always make his friends smile."
At the University of Miami Levine was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and an active leader in Student Government, where he had served as a two-time Senator and Public Relations Vice Chair. He also served as the Program Coordinator for the Freshman Leadership Council.

Levine studied abroad in Australia last year, and recently, he had decided to apply to dental school, according to Dr. Whitely.
Levine reportedly passed away after attending the Ultra Music Festival, an annual outdoor music festival, according to Local 10 ABC News, Miami.
Ray Martinez, the chief of security at Ultra, confirmed to Local 10 that Levine was treated by paramedics for medical difficulties at Ultra on Friday, March 18 and then transported to a hospital. He died at the hospital.
The official cause of death hasn't been released yet by the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner.

"Adam was a hardworking, passionate leader who always dedicated himself completely to every project he was involved with. In addition to his leadership, we will always remember his warm, outgoing personality and his incredible ability to brighten anyone's day. Adam made everyone in SG feel like they were part of a big, loving family.
He always gave everyone he met a big hug or a smile, and he made everyone feel special whether it's by telling a funny joke or asking about their day. Even if you just met him, Adam would always greet you in the most enthusiastic way. He was a genuinely kind, outgoing person with an incredible sense of humor who always knew how to make people feel welcomed and loved."
Levine's memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 22 at 10 am at the North Virginia Hebrew Congregation, 1441 Wiehle Ave., Reston.
