Assistance League Provides Personal Care Items

Earlier this month, several members of Assistance League of Northern Virginia met to assemble 220 toiletry kits as part of its philanthropic programs that serve eleven Title 1 elementary schools in the community. Members filled zipper bags with full-size toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant and hand sanitizer. These items, plus 220 face masks, will be delivered to a school in mid-May.

In addition, members assembled 100 sets of these toiletry items that will be delivered to another school so that fifth and sixth graders there can select their own items as part of their Health/Hygiene lessons.
