Bridge Construction Finished On Route 7 At Sugarland Run: VDOT
Virginia Department of Transportation completed work in April on the Sugarland Run Bride on westbound Route 7 in Herndon

HERNDON, VA — Virginia Department of Transportation recently completed work to rehabilitate the Route 7 westbound bridge over Sugarland Run in Herndon, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.
The $4.4 million project included the construction of a new concrete bridge deck, repairs to the bridge pier and abutment, and upgrades to the guardrail, curb, and gutter area of the bridge.
Originally, the project was supposed to include widening the bridge and extending the acceleration lane from the Fairfax County Parkway on-ramp to Dranesville Road. These elements were removed from the project due to funding constraints.
