Council for the Arts of Herndon Celebrates its 30th Anniversary.
The gala is raising money for Herndon Arts and the families of the Herndon teens who died in a collision last August.

An optional black-tie gala, a live and silent auction, a Blues music band, and a comedian are some of the ways the Council for the Arts of Herndon will celebrate its 30th year “Pearl Event.”
The fundraising event will at the Herndon Municipal Center on October 3 with tickets costing $78 per person.
This event, which will begin at 7:00 pm will feature art works by local artists, comedian Amy Skiavo will emcee, and Delegate Ken Plum will serve as auctioneer for the auctions.

Lisa Merkel, Mayor of the Town of Herndon, will be the honorary chair of the event.
“Our goal is to raise the $60,000 needed to support scholarships for future generations of artists, and to support the Herndon Community with art for the community to interact with and enjoy,” stated the event’s press release.

Proceeds from the event will go to towards the newly formed Arts Herndon and the Council for the Arts of Herndon to develop and maintain community programs for the Herndon community.
The event will also honor Dale Neibaur, Holly Novak, and Kyle Mathers, three teenagers who died in a collision on a Texas highway on August 7th. As a tribute to the Herndon teens, CAH will donate part of the Gala proceeds to benefit their families.
