In Foot Chase, Herndon Police Catch Accused Vehicle Thief
The Hampton man injured himself in the Sunday incident and was treated at a local hospital, say police.

HERNDON, VA — A man from Tidewater Virginia tried to outrun Herndon police officers on Sunday, but he injured himself and wound up in a local hospital. Warren Wendell Maxwell, 25, of Hampton, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest, the police said.
The foot chase took place in the 13100 block of Worldgate Drive, according to a police report.
Officers apprehended Maxwell and took him to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
