Goddard School Of Herndon Students Get Hands-On With Engineering
Students at The Goddard School of Herndon celebrate National Engineers Week with a variety of hands-on activities.
HERNDON, VA — From Feb. 18-21, The Goddard School in Herndon hosted its annual fun week of S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) learning. Students participated in S.T.E.A.M-centric activities and took on the role of engineers for National Engineers Week.
During the week, preschoolers spent their time designing and building structures, such as mini bridges, buildings, and rollercoasters, from classroom materials like blocks, popsicle sticks and more. The fun, hands-on S.T.E.A.M activities are designed to promote creativity, imagination and the love of learning.
With the theme of Looking Back, Moving Forward, The Goddard School in Herndon students compared past and present cooking devices, cars, and phones, which they built all on their own.
