Micheal Dungan, 74

Memorial service and celebration of life planned for April 25.

Micheal Dungan (74) of Herndon, Virginia passed away at home in Fairfax, Virginia on March 12, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Mike was born in Bremerton, Washington on January 27, 1941 to Bernice and Garland Dungan. He attended high school in Goldendale, Washington and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Mike married Carolyn (CJ) Matz, and celebrated 43 years together on March 2, 2015. He owned Cannon Graphics in Del Rio, Texas for 30 years and retired to spend time traveling with his wife when she retired. He and CJ enjoyed motorcycling, tennis, sailing and RVing across the United States. Mike was also a proud member of Lions Club in Del Rio, Texas. He volunteered with the Del Rio Literacy Council and a homeless shelter program in Herndon, VA (Cornerstones). Mike is survived by his wife Carolyn (CJ); sister Patty Roberts (Husband Mike) of Crossville, TN; brothers Dennis, John (Wife Blanca) and David (Wife Sue) Dungan of El Paso, TX, many devoted family members and friends and was predeceased by his parents.

On April 25, 2015 a Memorial service is scheduled at the Floris United Methodist Church, 13600 Frying Pan Rd, Herndon, VA at 11:00 a.m. and a “Celebration of Life” ceremony is scheduled at Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern, 697 Spring Street, Herndon, VA. Mike will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery
