Sprouts Farmers Market Donates $5,000 To Food For Neighbors
Sprouts Farmers Market in Herndon presented a $5,000 neighborhood grant to Food for Neighbors.

HERNDON, VA — Bryan Daniell, assistant manager of Sprouts Farmers Market in Herndon, present a $5,000 neighborhood Grant on Oct 14, from the Sprouts Health Communities Foundation to Food for Neighbors. Each year, the grocer supports nonprofits working to advance fresh food access and nutrition education.
During the presentation, Daniell shared with his employees the many times he and others have provide support for Food for Neighbors.
“I have seen many of you at our local Red Bag Program food collection and sorting events, and you are always doing the ‘heavy lifting’, literally, in the heat and the cold, with enthusiasm," said Renee Maxwell, a Herndon resident and Food For Neighbors volunteer./ "This is a testament to your work ethic and community spirit.”

Maxwell and fellow volunteers Romy Nathan of Reston and Liz Campbell of Sterling thanked the Sprouts team for their partnership and generous donation.

Patch has partnered with Feeding America to help raise awareness on behalf of the millions of Americans facing hunger. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that in 2020, more than 54 million Americans will not have enough nutritious food to eat due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
