“We are honored to receive the Arts Council of Fairfax County (ACFC) grant as MSA relies on the generous support of its donors, contributors, and corporate sponsors,” said Melissa Dobbs, executive director and founder of the Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA). “This support from ACFC is a significant stepping stone for MSA to continue its commitment to provide a comprehensive performing arts academy program, including world-renowned instructors and state-of-the-art facilities, as well as help our goals to expand, teach and personify performing arts education in our community, not only in Fairfax County, but in the DC area and beyond,” said Dobbs. “Our black box theatre, set to debut in January 2017, is just one example of MSA’s passion to build our community arts’ program, and bring the arts to our Fairfax County neighbors,” said Dobbs.
