Connect with Fairfax County Golf Courses on Twitter
Keep up with area golf courses, lessons and more by checking out Fairfax County's new Twitter account dedicated to golf.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- There’s a new way to access timely information about all that the Fairfax County Park Authority’s (FCPA) eight golf courses have to offer, the County announced Wednesday afternoon. Just follow @GolfFairfax on Twitter.
This new communication channel will provide real-time updates on last-minute tee-time opportunities, upcoming programs for all ages and levels, as well as tips from county golf course staff experts. Also, you'll be able to find out about facility rentals, upcoming Foot Golf tournaments and get informed about ongoing renovations and construction projects. Whether you are new to golf or a seasoned player, @GolfFairfax will offer content not found anywhere else.
“In today’s fast-paced culture, golfers want to stay connected on and off the course,” said Roberta Korzen, FCPA’s Golf marketing specialist. “@GolfFairfax will be an awesome opportunity to engage with our community – a one-stop-shop for news, discounts, special events, tips, course updates, contests, instruction and fun!”

The Twitter feed will also provide an open forum for customers to give feedback, ask questions and share thoughts. Hashtags will allow users to search for course-specific information and connect with fellow golfers.
This new account joins the Fairfax County Park Authority’s other social media platforms, which includes Fairfax County Parks on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. All of these accounts keep users informed about the Park Authority’s 427 parks, nine RECenters and numerous nature centers and historic sites.

To start getting regular updates, Twitter users just need to log in to their account, search for “@golffairfax,” and click “Follow.” But even if you don’t use Twitter, there’s still a way to get @GolfFairfax updates delivered directly to your smart phone: Text “Follow @golffairfax” to 40404. @GolfFairfax joins the larger Fairfax County family of official Twitter accounts, which you can find on the county’s social media hub.
