Weekend highlights include Around The World Cultural Food Festival, Pokémon World Championships and several restaurant weeks.

Can you believe we're halfway through August? That's one reason to go out and enjoy summer events around Northern Virginia and DC this weekend. There's quite the variety of events, from food festivals to county fairs.
We've rounded up numerous events going on from Friday, Aug. 16 to Sunday, Aug. 18. Some are free, while others have fees.
