Egg-cellent Egg Hunts and Activities In Fairfax County Parks
Parks throughout Fairfax County are hosting Easter egg hunts and other fun family activities in coming weeks.

On Sunday, March 18
Join the Easter Egg Hunt at Colvin Run Mill, at 10017 Colvin Run Road in Great Falls, off Leesburg Pike (Route 7). Children ages 2 to 9 can hunt for eggs and make egg-cellent crafts to take home. Bring your own basket. The cost is $8 per person.

At Hidden Pond Nature Center, 8511 Greeley Blvd., West Springfield, children age 3 to 12 can create a spring mobile of favorite pond animals from plastic eggs. All materials will be provided. The cost is $6 per child.
Hidden Oaks Nature Center is hosting a Woodland Wildlife Egg Hunt for children age 3 to 8. Meet costumed woodland characters along a trail, collect eggs with non-candy treats and discover how different animals raise their young. The cost is $8 per child. The center is at 7701 Royce St. in Annandale.

On Saturday, March 24
Children age 1 to 6 are invited to the Easter Eggstravaganza at Frying Pan Park to hunt for eggs that contain treats and prizes and visit with farm animals. The cost is $8 per child. Add a wagon ride for $2 per person. The park is at 2739 West Ox Road in Herndon.
On both Saturday, March 24, and Sunday, March 25
Stop by the Easter Egg Hunt at the Sully historic site. It's offering an egg hunt, egg-related games and an Easter craft event for children age 1 to 8. The cost is $8 per child. Wagon rides cost another $2 per person. The site is at 3650 Historic Sully Way, off Route 28 in Chantilly, just north of Route 50.
On Sunday, Lake Fairfax Park will host an Easter Egg Hunt for children age 1 to 6. The cost is $8 per child. The park is at 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive in Reston.
Hidden Oaks Nature Center is running a Dinosaur Egg Hunt on March 25, 29, 30, 31 and April 1. Enjoy a dinosaur-themed program and outdoor egg hunt while visiting Dinoland in Nature Playce. The program is for children ages 2 to 8, and the cost is $8 per child. The center is at 7701 Royce St. in Annandale.
On Saturday, March 31
Burke Lake Park is hosting a day of fun called Baskets and Bunnies. There will be egg hunts, carousel and train rides, crafts and games. Passes are $12 per person in advance; $16 the day of the event. The park is at 7315 Ox Road in Fairfax Station.
Clemyjontri Park is offering an Easter Egg Hunt, crafts and photo ops with the Easter Bunny for children age 1 to 9. The cost is $7 per child. Add a carousel ride for $2. The park is at 6317 Georgetown Pike in McLean.
There's also an Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31, at Nottoway Park, at 9601 Courthouse Road in Vienna. Register at the picnic shelter for egg hunts for children age 1 to 9. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and the first hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. for the youngest age group. The cost is $10 per child – cash only. There is no pre-registration for this event.
