Fairfax Vaccine Dashboard Provides More Insight On Wait List

The dashboard shows the remaining number on the wait list and other data.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — On Friday, the Fairfax County Health Department launched a new dashboard with data on the COVID-19 vaccine. The data provides a better idea of where people are on the vaccine wait list.

According to the dashboard, 109,554 people are on the wait list as of Feb. 12. In all, 216,173 people have registered for the vaccine in the Fairfax Health District, which includes Fairfax County, towns of Vienna, Herndon and Clifton, and cities of Falls Church and Fairfax.

At this time, the health department is making appointments for people who registered on Monday, Jan. 18. A large portion of people —41,758 — registered on that date, when eligibility opened up to people 65 and over and people 16 to 64 with underlying health conditions. The next highest days for registration were Jan. 19, 20 and 21.

The dashboard also indicates the health department is administering doses similar to the weekly number of doses received. During the week of Feb. 1 to 7, the health department received 13,575 doses from the state and administered 13,350 doses.

On Friday, the health department also said residents should continue using the local health department's preregistration form even as the state implements its own preregistration system.
