Kingstowne Weather Outlook: The Dog Days of Spring?
The Kingstowne region will only get a taste of spring for a few days before a heat wave returns this weekend.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Northern Virginia has escaped the clutches of cold winter weather, but suddenly temperatures have climbed into the 80s in the last few days. Temperatures are cooling off and weather will be pleasant for Easter festivities -- that is, until Easter Sunday.
Kingstowne area temperatures reached a high of 76 Wednesday, and by nightfall it cooled to the high 40s, Weather.com predicted. There was a chance of showers, but precipitation for the rest of the week is unlikely. Partly cloudy skies will cool off the area more on Tuesday and Friday, with temperatures near the 70s and 50s.
Clouds will continue into Friday morning into Saturday, with temperatures reaching the high 70s and 50s. But Easter Sunday will be a scorcher, as the sun will start to peek out. Sunday's temperature will reach a high of 85 and low of 61.
