FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Friends and family have raised $10,000 in one day for Jeffrey Ponce Aguilar, the 26-year old man who was struck by a police cruiser and killed late Saturday night on Beulah Street near Hilltop Village shopping center.

A GoFundMe page set up to help with funeral expenses had set a goal of $7,000, stating:
Jeff Ponce Aguilar was struck and killed by a police cruiser on April 2, 2016 while crossing the street on his way home from work. He does not come from much, but had a heart of gold that deserves a proper funeral/memorial. This go fund me is designed to help his family, or his friends, give him the respect he deserves.
