A summary of crimes reported in the Kingstowne area for Aug. 26-Sept. 1. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here are the incidents that were included in the Franconia District Crime Summary for the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1:  

Police Service Area 610

  • Larceny, 6600 Block of Electronic Drive, Aug. 26. Cleaning supplies were stolen from a business.
  • Destruction of Property, 6300 Block of Springfield Plaza, Aug. 27. Graffiti was sprayed on the window of a business.
  • Larceny, 6200 Block of Backlick Road, Aug. 27. Used cooking oil was stolen from a restaurant.
  • Larceny, 6500 Block of Backlick Road, Aug. 28. Used cooking oil was stolen from a restaurant.
  • Larceny, 7000 Block of Commerce Street, Aug. 28. Shoplifting.
  • Drugs, 7200 Block of Commerce Street, Aug. 28. Two subjects were found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Drugs, 7000 Block of Brookfield Plaza, Aug. 28. Three subjects were found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Drugs, 7000 Block of Oriole Avenue, Aug. 28. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Larceny, 6400 Block of Springfield Plaza, Aug. 31. Shoplifting.
  • Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 7000 Block of Brookfield Plaza, Sept. 1. A business was broken into. Cash and products were stolen.

  • Destruction of Property, 6400 Block of Inwood Drive, Aug. 26. The locks of a work van were damaged.
  • Larceny, 6600 Block of Frontier Drive Aug. 26. Shoplifting.
  • Larceny, 6700 Block of Frontier Drive Aug. 26. Shoplifting.
  • Destruction of Property, 5700 Block of Norton Road, Aug. 26. A house window was broken by a shot BB.
  • Drugs, Sagebrush Place/Stagecoach Street, Aug. 27. A subject was found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Drugs, Franconia Road/Franconia Court, Aug. 28. Following a traffic stop an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Larceny, 6800 Block of Junction Boulevard, Aug. 28. Three individuals attempted to steal a bicycle but fled when confronted.
  • Larceny, 6600 Block of Springfield Mall, Aug. 28. Shoplifting.
  • Drugs, Franconia Road/Ramp to I-95, Aug. 29. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft, 4600 Block of Upland Drive, Aug. 29. A vehicle was stolen from a driveway. The key to the vehicle was inside it.
  • Robbery, 5700 Block of South Van Dorn Street, Aug. 30. An employee of a business was robbed of cash while working at the counter by a suspect who fled on foot.
  • Larceny, 6000 Block of Valley View Drive, Sept. 1. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

  • Larceny, Franconia Road/Rose Hill Drive, Aug. 26. Two individuals failed to pay their cab fare.
  • Larceny, 5100 Block of Franconia Road, Aug. 26. Shoplifting.
  • Destruction of Property, 8300 Block of Telegraph Road, Aug. 26. A vehicle left the roadway and damaged some plants.
  • Drugs, 7000 Block of Manchester Boulevard, Aug. 27. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Larceny, 6600 Block of Telegraph Road, Aug. 27. An unattended cell phone was stolen from a business.
  • Drugs, Hayfield Road/Manchester Boulevard, Aug. 28. During a traffic stop an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
  • Destruction of Property, 5100 Block of Ballycastle Circle, Aug. 28. A window in a door was broken.
  • Larceny, 7100 Block of Barry Road, Aug. 29. Tools were stolen from a house under construction.
  • Larceny, 5800 Block of Franconia Road, Aug. 29. A cell phone stolen from unlocked vehicle.
  • Destruction of Property, 7200 Block of Larrup Court, Aug. 30. A door of a vacant house was broken.
  • Larceny/Fraud, 6600 Block of Thurlton Drive, Aug. 30. An individual’s identity was used to open several credit accounts.
  • Fraud, 6000 Block of Clames Drive, Aug. 30. An individual was contacted by phone and told the government is rewarding them for being debt free and would deposit money in their account. The victim realized this was a scam and did not provide their bank account information.
  • Larceny, 4300 Block of Mission Court, Aug. 31. A vehicle window was broken out and the purse left in view was stolen.
  • Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 7800 Block of Beulah Street, Aug. 31. A business was broken into. Cash was stolen.
